I assume social media feels more than "connective" and easier to communicate than a forum, which costs money and such to maintain. IG, twitter, TikTok, any, actually doesn't.
As information technology is in the terminal 10 years this spot has become the only forum I regularly visit. Reddit non included. Information technology's understandable.
Also, many musicians don't carp with a website anymore and apply other social media ways. It can be a lot of work to maintain a social presence and a website so it's really non the surprising.

I've found that site to be full of valuable information over the years. Sorry to come across it become.
